Slide originally used by a university study, was scanned for a digital archive. The Scanera A1 TopFace Premium was used to capture the detail of the slide (individual cells can be seen in the maple branch).
Topography Example

Scan of a 3D map created from a geological survey. The Scanera A1 TopFace Pro can capture originals of up to 23" x 33" (other models can capture up to 80" x 80") and capture the 3D texture of the map.
Wood Block Carving

Scan of an original wood block print carving. The Scanera A1 TopFace Pro can capture extreme texture detail replicating the carving's groves and notches. Each chisel mark is recorded for a perfect replica.
Oil Painting

Scan of original painting use to create reprints and replicas. Scanera A1 TopFace Pro was used to capture the brush marks and oil fragments extruding from the painting. A top face scanner was needed to scan without damaging the painting
Potential uses: reproduction for posters, postcards and souvenirs, especially for rare or delicate artwork, also used to create samples for an auction portfolio.
Rare medals for archives

Capture the 3D elements of the metallic objects. Potential uses: Scanning other metallic objects such as tools, molds, die casts, situations where extreme surface detail is necessary.
Stone Example

Scanned for a tombstone salesman's paper portfolio. Previously the salesman carried physical examples which were extremely heavy.
Potential Uses: Sales portfolios for tiles, stone or other heavy items. Stone can be reproduced as well for movie sets and replicas.
Ancient Manuscript Example

Scanned to preserve and record the condition of the original manuscript. Researchers and students can study the manuscript at near-original quality. The A1 TopFace Pro scans from the top and does not physically contact the document, minimizing damage from handling.
Potential uses: university research, library archives and records, museum displays (when the original is too valuable to show).
Sand Pattern Scan Example

Arranged sand was scanned to be used as a wall paper pattern. The A1 TopFace Pro was used to capture the sand detail and to make the waves in the sand appear 3D in the wall paper
Potential Uses: scanning patterns for a variety of interior design materials such as wall papers, tiles, fake wood, etc.
Food Scanning Example
